Do you think that he may have been saying it as a figure of speech? (not that it was appropriate AT ALL) but that he was just trying to be.....nah, forget that thought. I thought maybe he was just trying to make conversation in a strange way. But scratch that, he is totally out of line in calling her a mutt. Again, so many people out there are completely tackless when it comes to talking about dogs and realizing (like you said) that they are like children to many of us. You should have turned to him and said, omg I forgot to ask, which RugRat out on the field it yours? Ha! That's just the smartass in me kickin in. (believe me, I mean no snide comment towards children, I love all children, I was a 3rd & 4th grade teacher for 10 years) so please don't take that comment the wrong way. |
