Oh!! I know the remote you are talking about. One of my BF's friends gave him one for his birthday last year. After like a month of using it he spilt juice on it and it broke. Too bad though bc I loved that remote...it was HUGE, it never got lost...you could even use it as a tray.

I guess the BF just has no luck when it come to remotes...he should just quit eating/drinking when handling one.
