 puppy pads in a litter pan
I trained my little boy to use a puppy pad in a medium sized litter pan. I tried the litter at first and he wanted to eat it too. The other nice thing is that if you use a 23 x 24 sized pad and a medium sized litter pan, you can cut the pad in half and get two uses out of one pad!! He did really well with it, he is a kicker to but he just hops out of the pan and then does his kicking and waits for his praise. This is also nice for traveling or taking him to someone else's home since there is no litter mess. I took him to Alabama at about 4 months and just took his pan and put it in the floor board and when we stopped put him in it and he went. Also, I used the training spray at the beginning to help motivate him to use the pan/pad combo. But we don't use it anymore. |
