I completely agree!
The technicians at our vet's clinic must be very good at it...in 5 years the x-ray has always been right on. They have helped us with larger pups and we knew then if there was any trouble...to bring her in right away instead of waiting the normal length.
We also always have our x-rays done mid-morning and we do not give them their breakfast until after we get home!
