If your not in love with it, don't buy it! A house is a huge purchase (obviously), probably one of the most, if not the most important investment you'll ever make. This place will be your home, you want to love your home and feel comfortable in your home, and have pride in it. If your not feeling it, do not buy it!
If your having trouble finding a home you love in your price range, I would try foreclosures.
