I'm grateful to have the sirens here...they let you know when a tornado has been spotted and that it is heading your way so you can take cover. They also let you know when a severe storm is headed your way...one with large hail and high winds...so you can get to a protected area. We live in tornado alley and I take a little extra comfort in seeing those sirens around town and I'm thankful for the person who hits the alarm when it's needed!
