I leave Cooper home alone for 7+ hours when my husband and I are at work. He stays in the laundry room. There is no door, but we put up a baby gate and this works well. We have his pee pad, a small crate with bedding, food, water and toys. He seems to like his area. In fact there are times when he will go and hang out in his crate when we are home.
I don't leave a radio on for him, because he seems to be doing well. But I did leave the radio on for my Jack Russell when he was a puppy. We lived in a condo and we had complaints about his barking. The radio seemed to do the trick, though!
Congrats on your new puppy and good luck! |
