goodluck at the vets tomorrow, have you tried calamine lotion for his itching i used it on rosie when her skin was at its worse and she would scratch all the time, i felt so sorry for her that i went out about 2am and got some calamine soaked it into some cotton wool balls and gently dabbed it over her skin, it did help and you can apply it as many times as you like to sooth the skin. hope this is of some help
