Mayas Mom, I know right! we all need to be aware if this potentially fatal deal about xylitol. Maybe I can make another post and say what happened and put some quotes in from vets about it and admin will make it a sticky in the sick/help/question page, This is just something you would not expect! And the devastation and damage that can be done to our babies from xylitol, unreal

You're very welcome Erin, and you don't owe me a thing, honestly, this is what friends and YTers do for one another. I remembered reading the article on it some time back and RAN to my sons room because he chewed the orbit gum, but it had been a while back and I couldn't remember for sure exactly if that was the kind they spoke about in the article I had read. I hurried as fast as I could and did a search and was so scared for you and your lil one when I read it. I told my son about it after I first read the article and he actually stopped chewing it cause he didn't wanna risk leaving it lay somewhere and Isaiah get it. I've just told all the kids, make SURE you DO NOT leave ANY gum at all laying around, this way we don't have to worry about it. It's sad though cause it's in more products than just gum and I know there are others in this world that share human foods with their furbabies not knowing about this stuff and what it can do to them. It'd be a great idea to make a thread on it and make it a sticky for others to read and be informed about. It may already be there, I don't know, I haven't been over to check the list of things that are toxic to our furkids lately. How's your lil one doing now? I keep praying that she'll be ok. Has she showed any signs of starting to get hypoglycemic?
