I don't eat roe either. Never. I did try caviar ONCE. Oh my gosh! It was disgusting!
I also miss the fresh fish. I love to go fishing and we went on a deep sea fishing trip here in CA some years back. It is so much different in Florida. I like it best in FLA because it is a relaxing on the water experience. No pressure.
Here they bait about a gazillion hooks on your rod, you plunk it down, a gazillion fish get on it, your remove them and do it again. FOR THE ENTIRE TRIP! It is like hard work. No relaxation.
I'll take FLA fishing any time over that experience. We had fish forever but no fun.
