In the main part of the reserve all the animals are free to roam and can come up to the car. In the enclosures where the Lions, Tigers, Wolves and Wild Dogs are they have a huge fenced area to seperate them from the animals they would naturally prey on. There is a fence that keeps them from getting less than 4ft from the road through so they get pretty close.
