I do try to be sure Maxwell doesn't get his head wet - water in the ears can't be good. I'll put him in our pool and he immediately swims to the steps with his little head out of the water. Mostly he loves to run around the perimeter after the net when we clean stuff out of the pool. That's a big deal when he sees the net come out.
