I use to use this technique for temperament..roll the pup on his/her back..stroke the tummy. The one who used to play bite my hand or did not like being on his/her back seemed to be the more active/playful/daring one. The one who just layed there and let me tickle and stroke was the more submissive and layed back one..The breeder would later confirm my observations.this is also a good way to look for umbilical hernias..good luck.
