Once you see he is "getting it" for sure it is great if you can gate off a larger protected or uncarpeted area, but leave his pad where it is and see if he will seek it out. If you catch him going on his pad give him a treat!
It takes time (sometimes lots) and patience (even more) but he will get it. |
