I put two or three layers over the top of everything. You have to make sure it dries really well between coats because I found that if you don't the paper will still be wet and it'll pull the paper off (does that make sense?). The pictures came from one of those little children's books that normally cost a couple of dollars. |
Kyle~ thanks! Maybe once I get done making some potty bells for the doors and finish up some belly bands for Madison I'll try something like that too! I've only done a few mod-podge things but I know that sometimes (not from MY stuff, of course, but someone sent me a platter kind of like one of those plastic dinner chargers, and the paper design she put on, kind of lifted off. I'm not sure if it's b/c of the material (plastic) or what, but I don't want that to happen to mine. So I'm glad you reminded me about that, esp. since I like to get things finished so I can admire them, LOL.
