The only thing that makes even more sickening for me is knowing that if this were the dad of the punk who hit him or the others who drove off, they'd be the first ones threatening all sorts of lawsuits and acting outraged.

Agreed. I don't know if this neighborhood is good or bad or if that has any bearing on this behavior. But the first people to pass by knew that it was a hit and run and that they weren't in any danger from "stray bullets". The later drivers maybe didn't know, but those pedestrians sure got close enough, so they weren't frightened for their safety ....... but there should have been more than four 911 calls. OMG - things like that make me wonder just how far from "rock bottom" can we be.
