Hi everyone, I have more questions
....
1. Once the puppies are born, how soon can they come into contact with the daddy and my other dog? I would keep dad and other dog, away for the 1st 3 to 4 weeks.
2. What else can I use to tie the umbilical cord? My friend was supposed to send me hemostats and she didn't come through for me. You can use unflavored dental floss
3. When should mommy and puppies be taken to the vet? 12 to 24 hours after the birthing to make sure momma has placed the plasentas ( my vet recommends)
4. What is a good way to identify each puppy? I use the real stretchy scrunchies, or I have heard of food coloring under the hind leg.
