Otis was on it last year. It does take, I think, 3 weeks or so, to build up in their system. He never had any seizures. So far he hasn't needed it this year but we'll see. The vet said he had "hay fever". Good luck, we didn't have any problems with hydroxyzine. Hope your baby feels better soon. Another tip... you may already know this.. limit baths to every 3-4 weeks or longer. Bathing may make their skin more itchy.
