It is also called defused responsibility. If one person had gone to help and called to others for help it probably would have been different. When I teach CPR I always instruct my students to point their finger at an individual and say "You go call 911" and if there are more people "You go with him."
I didn't know the poor man died. I had heard he was paralyzed from the neck down. This is so very sad. There were four cell phone calls that came in to 911 within a couple of minutes of the accident though. Someone TRIED to help.
I hope they can digitally enhance the licence plates of the car that hit him and the ones that drove by. The ones that drove by should at least be told off. The hit and run needs to be punished.
