Hope your baby is ok now. Whenever I bring a new puppy in to my home we teach them to use the ramps we have by the beds. They learn really quick and no matter how excited they get they use the ramps. Like 4doggiemama said I cover the foam ramp so that they don't eat it and have a blanket over it for traction. I have a pom who is 10lbs and never learned to use the ramps or jump on or off furniture as she was older when we got the ramps for the yorkies so I just pick her up and down. The best thing to do is make sure theyknow how to properly get down before they are allowed up on any thing.
