If they are fitted properly they do not slide right out of them. And, they are so nice to have around! I had one come off of Sebastian, but he was running away from me and I snagged the bellyband instead of him and it slid down, but not off. However, any effort he made to remove it (and boy did he try at first) was to no avail. It stayed put, and he got used to it and doesn't mind it now
