It seems like it is quite common for Yorkies to have itchy skin due to food allergies (particularly corn). It seem that it is very frequently discussed here on YT. I know there are some who have to keep their little ones on med for their allergies--I hope that will not be the case for your little furbutt. Many seem to have found relief by changing diets. I know that many of the fillers in food--rice, corn, etc trigger these allergies, sometimes it's something else altogether. I've had to feed something ours don't normally eat in a pinch and it's caused Trixie to itch like crazy (biting feet and scratching ears).

Luckily I seem to have avoided any allergens w/ their diet and the only allergies I have with mine (knock on wood) is one that is allergic to shellfish. Hopefully someone else who has been down this path before will be able to offer you some great tips to help you deal with getting your baby to feeling better.
