We used that crate for our puppy when we first got him at 10 weeks, 2.5 ounces, but we quickly found that it is too small to crate train him. It is long and wide enough, but it was too short; the puppy should be able to stand up comfortably without hitting his head on the top.
We still use it for car rides, though, because he is supposed to be laying down anyway.
