I am another one who struggles with "text talk". I believe this new lingo originates from the younger generation's preferred communication...texting...both of my kids (28 &20 yrs) seem to have forgotten how to "call" on the phone...they just tap tap their words! Now that they live 100 miles away, I realized that I would have a better chance of talking to them (often) if I learned how to "text". I did it and must admit that it is fun. it takes me a little longer because I still type out every word!
