Humm. I would just ignore him if you defo know it is not for potty BUT thats just me if he just wants to play just totally ignore him till YOU get up!! Thats what i did with bailey coz he was the same and used to cry and bark telling me to get up at 6am with him, i dont think so bailey LOL!! so i just ignored him i knew he didnt need to go potty and in the end when he knew he was gettin no where he curled up and went back to sleep. now he wakes up when i get up
i think he is just testing you to tell you YOU will get up when i get up mum LOL. good luck
