My Chi-town college daughter is adopting a Pacific Parrotlet. "Maggie" is only one generation removed from a true South American Parrotlet. Her grandma lived in South America. Which apparently means that her green coloring is still electric green less diluted from breeding.
We've had parakeets and cockatiels, but we have no experience with Parrotlets. (And I think it's important that I learn too, because I'm waiting for the day to come when she calls saying "Mom, they decided no birds in our apartment - you have come get Maggie until we move!)

She has visited Maggie at the wonderful breeder's home and hopes to pick her up this weekend. She said that she is very sweet, very curious, and very friendly.
Do any YT'ers have Parrotlets? Any advice?

The great thing is that I told her that the first thing she needed to do was find a great forum
just like YT BEFORE she brings Maggie home, which she did! It's small compared to YT, but the people there seem absolutely wonderful and supportive. So far, I haven't read any rude (or "misintepreted") posts. They've been answering my daughter's questions really well too.
