I agree with everyone. I would go to a vet that does allergy testing. I would NEVER put down ANY dog (especially a 3 yr old) until they were tested for everything (JMO). My daughter's cat gets these ulcerated sores between his toes. The vet she was using just kept giving her cream to put on it and told her he didn't know what was wrong with him. She has since changed to the vet I use and they told her (after many tests) that they had never seen anything like this before and had no idea what it is. However.....they have been giving him shots and it healed! Now, they did tell her that it could come back but, with having these shots it keeps it at bay.
I know these little ones can get quite expensive and it all depends on what you can afford to do but, I would try several different vets before I would make the decision to put her down.
I really hope and pray that they can find out what's wrong with your little furbaby.
