Leaving dogs in car. Ok, so if we are going somewhere real quick or going to be eating somewhere with parking outside the window of seating (so I can see) I will take my dogs with me and leave them in the car. I will NOT under ANY circumstance leave them in the car under the beating heat of the sun. I won't even leave them in the shade with the windows cracked open if it's too hot out. Also, I have a schnauzer that is very intimidating so I am not worried about my dogs being stolen (but I still keep the car in my view to give me piece of mind).
Well, today, it was about 60ish degrees out and the sun was setting. It was about 15 minutes away from the sun being completely set. There were only shady areas in the parking lot for miles. When it's this cold out, I leave my windows up. It makes me feel even safer because I know no one can stick their fingers (or any other object) through the window. Well, some lady started complaining to the hostess that my windows were up and was threatening to call the humane society! I never actually got to see the lady, else I would've given her a piece of my mind. I don't see anything wrong with my windows being up. If anything, it was getting to the point to where it was almost cold out and having the windows open would make my 3 lb baby cold!
My question is: am I wrong? Was it cruel of me to leave me windows down? When I got in the car it was in no way stuffy. I don't really see how it's different than being in a room with the windows closed...
