My most deepest condolences to you and your family in such a heartbreaking time. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers and I pray that your son comes through surgery with no complications and makes a complete and total recovery. Please try and take gentle care of yourself, Mattie will be with you in your heart always and forever and no one can ever take that away from you. I'm not going to lie and say it will get easier, as I've lost a furchild and I still carry that pain, but in time, you learn how to deal with it better and one day you'll be able to think of her and talk about her with a smile on your face instead of tears streaming from your eyes. My heart breaks for you and your husband.
