Sounds like it might be "Reverse Sneezing" Go here Yorkie Health and click on the link for reverse sneezing and see if it sounds like it. If it is the reverse sneezing, when it happens, you can, put your fingers over his/her nostrils, forcing them to breath through their mouth it will stop.
