I know this is "off topic" but I agree with you whole heartedly! I have taken LOTS of slack in the past for not allowing my puppies to go to the homes of "elderly couples"... (although I don't believe that 70's are so "elderly")

Don't get me wrong, I believe that EVERYONE should have a furbaby to love if they've got it in their hearts to give and can provide for him/her... but while it doesn't "work both ways" in that "babies need babies"... I do feel that "seniors need seniors" when it comes to bringing in a new dog.

Just my penny's worth...
