Default Dew Claws

I am taking my 7 month old yorkie into the vet today to have his last stubborn baby tooth pulled. I don't like the idea of having to put him under anesthesia again but I know it has to be done. I was just wondering if there is any reason I should have his dew claws removed as well? I know this is a painful procedure but I don't know if it is better to have this done now and not later? Will they cause him issue later in life? If it's not necessary that would be wonderful. I haven't discussed this with my vet and just wanted some insight. Thank you.
