NOT looking forward to it, but considering I had to break my piggy bank and roll coins to make my car payment this month I figure its past time to be looking!
The thing is that this is a pretty small town and with the economy, no one is really hiring. Plus minimum wage is going up here sometime in July so businesses that have hourly employees are really trying to cut back.
My goal is to get one full time job, and a part time one.. work my behind off and move outta here the week btwn Christmas and New Years. I figure if I get a job making $8 an hour (which will be hard in this town) and work 52 hrs a week, I will have enough to pay my current bills and put enough away each month to have a decent amount to move in December.
I just filled out an online application for Kmart-not really what i pictured myself doing after college, but they are hiring and i'm desperate.. but the earliest interview date they had was 7/10!

Would it be rude for me to call mgnt tomorrow and see if possibly I could get an earlier interview date?
The only other things I found open was a case order filling position for Walmart DC, a parttime business assistant for a homecare office, a public works secretary, receptionist for an acct. firm, and a job at a hotel.
In college I choose to nanny which paid way more than most jobs and was great because I had the flexibility to work around my college classes.. but now its backfiring on me! I should have gotten a job related to my degree!
