I think that is a wise decision...I would not step foot in that house or yard...Parvo is deadly and easily transmitted...It can live in the environment for a long time..It is recommended not to bring another dog onto the property for a year...It is just not worth the risk!
If this is a close friend I am sure they will understand your concern!
