the only thing i can think of being bad at the beach is if the water is overly polluted. If i coudl take Layla to the beach daily i would. Just watch for overheating. It might be bad because they need to be bathed more often which is hard on their skin, but i'd still take her if i could! those are very lucky dogs.
As for the older dog... again.. if she is happy there... doesn't seem to be under any heat distress... i say it is WONDERFUL exercise and they are just so lucky to be able to go!
