My mom was taking Stanley to the beach 3 times a week but heard from someone that it was bad for the dog's health to go so much...so now she only takes him once a week. Is there any truth in this??

Also...my aunt has a 12 year old maltese that she thinks is too old to go to the beach...how old is too old?
