Only if both parents are registered and both had full breeding rights. Sometimes parents, grandparents, etc. are registered with the AKC, but one or both of the puppies parents were sold with limited registration. Some unethical breeders go ahead and breed them anyway, and register them with an alternative registry, and tell customers that they can be registered with the AKC since all relatives are registered, but this is not true if they were originally sold with limited registration. Many AKC breeders are spaying puppies before they leave the premises so this won't happen. |
