Default essential requirements for boarding

I booked Tia into a place to board, although I have paid the deposit, im getting cold feet and I thinking of cancelling.

I am apprehensive because of the level of contact she will have with people, she will not be in contact with any other dogs which perhaps is a good thing as I don't want her to get hurt by a big, bully dog.

What are the essential requirements you would look out for before deeming a place suitable?

There was an AMAZING, doggy spa place that I was dead set on taking her to, until I found out the price is was over 400 GB POUNDS for her stay. If I had the money I would have taken her there without a second thought but I don't so I have to take her to a typical boarding place.

I wish I could take her, but we are travelling to the caribbean, to an Island that does not recognise dog passports. Its a family holiday so there are no family members that I can leave her with.

Should I be worrying? I am getting myself so worked up, on the verge of tears, when I think about her being in a strange place all by herself
