I think dogs consider themselves the alpha when they position themselves higher than you in the bed. All three of mine sleep at the foot of my bed...although sometimes Reese gets in his bed on the floor....and trust me...they know who the alpha is here. Reggie just started sleeping in the bed...if you wake up or move....he lies so still. Please don't see me...please don't make me sleep in the x pen.

Could you get a bigger bed??
