have you tried one of those spongy floats? I used to have a cocker that would bark like mad when we all went into her "water bowl".
We had one of those lounger type floats and she would get out on that when we were in the pool and she loved being in the water with us without having to actually be in the water! LOL!!
I don't have that float anymore so don't know what my girls would do with that!
