I don't advertise in local papers, because in my experience, I get a lot of whacko's calling. I personally have had wonderful experiences with Kijiji, locally, so I wouldn't call it sketchy! It is easier to weed prospective buyers out, if you can do some of it by email. I also have a questionnaire that must be filled out, and they have to give a vet reference that I can call. I do not ship, and require meeting them in person and have them spend time with the puppy before I make the decision whether they are fit "parents" for the puppy.
