We don't have to tip here in the UK, Although there are times that I choose to. But if you don't it's accepted.
If I get great service in a restaraunt I always tip,as it goes to the waiter or waitress who have worked hard to serve me well.
When I go to the hairdressers, it costs me alot of money to get mine and my daughters hair done anyway, so I don't tip. I don't tip for a taxi ride (cab). It's daft to me set a price and pay the price, end of.
