I think its important to remember that Yorkie are very small dogs. Small breeds often get Hypoglycemia due to stress or not eating regulary. They need to eat and drink often for at least the first 12 weeks. The smaller the Yorkie the higher risk of Hypoglycemia.

I am lucky, because I was able to bring mine to work everyday. I'm not sure what your situation is, but a small dog left alone as a pup is not ideal. But if you want a Yorkie bad enough, you will find a way to make it work
