ok then this is what i would do...take 2 straight pins..space them as far apart as the size you want the button hole to be......then set zig zag on 0 or 1 and zig zag the length of it do 2 side by side then ...on the ends widen the zigzag to go across both zig zags and zig zag on 0 that should do it
