I remember all to well when my little one was spade - I took a few days off of work to be with her and make sure she was recovering okay. They used glue instead of stitches on the outside of the skin. No need for a collar or wrap. I think I was really lucky that she just left the area alone. I made sure I had extra treats on hand to give her with her meds to be sure she had something in her tummy. One of my biggest concerns was keeping her from jumping or trying to jump on things (she could not jump up on the couch yet). Good luck and you are in my thoughts.
