For your dad's sake and for your own peace of mind - do whatever you need to do to attend the funeral...if you haven't seen your family in that long then I would go (just my opinion).....there's options and people have mentioned several already....if you can get a pet friendly room you may be ok - but if she's with you this much she may cry.
my advice to you is - try to let her be more independent - it does her no favors to have you there 24/7 - believe me - my girls got so used to me being home alot when my husband was alive now they're devestated when I work - every single morning.
