Try going back a few more generations and I bet you will find some leggy ancestors. The genetics can be coming from as far back as 5 or 6 generations. Right now in the show ring, there are many more of the leggy dogs than the shorter ones. I just bought a leggy male to breed with my medium legged female in the future. I love the short ones, but the consensus is for the longer legged ones right now. |
