Well Yt'ers here's my take on it. Premise: Not every one who owns a dog dresses them in clothing. Correct statement????? So when you do and you are out in public, you are doing something out of the norm. Therefore it is sort of an oddity that might elicit unwelcome or unsolicited responses. The fact that it is "just a dog", makes some people feel it is ok to express their opinion about your dog's fashion, after all, it won't know what they are saying, so you can't hurt it's feelings. But they have no clue into the heart of the owner of a yorkie.
Do they think that the mere fact that you took the time and money to dress your baby might be a clue that you on the other side of the leash have some feelings???? Or do they even care???
I say people who would make an oral comment of any kind that they might even THINK would hurt someone's feelings are just crude.... and if you think the comments they make about your baby is out of line...you should be privy to some of their other "opinions" in life.
