Because legitimate registries keep strict records of linage, and in some cases DNA, it is my hope that this knowledge will be useful in treating hereditary diseases in the future. To me, all those who aren't breeding or showing don't "need" to register, it's just giving monetary support to an organization that does try to a good job in improving the breeding conditions of dogs. Plus you do get a cute tag. |
ok so i think i did register my dog with the canadian one... i remember we had to fill out a paper and paid money and got a tag (not cute though... they may be cute now 10 years ago, not so much)
i was just trying to figure out what i did when i went to that place with my puppy. hehe
