That's scary. I gave Teddy a pig ear once when i put him in his crate while i went to go grocery shopping. When i returned, there was blood all over the floor and in his crate-my heart rate shot up sky high and i searched Ted's mouth. i couldnt find a cut or loose tooth--nothing! im assuming he cut a gum or his cheek, but he wouldnt let me get a good look. I'm afraid now to give him pig ears anymore.
